On Georgia Font
When I am typing this, I use Georgia font; I just thought you'd like to know, even though you wouldn't.
Speaking of the word "wouldn't", we learned all about the conditional tense in Spanish class today, and it was super wonderful. Well, not really. It was all right.
Georgia font is rounded over and seemingly perfectly. The space between each neat little letter is like, symmetrical or something, like every pixel has a place. Every black dash against the white background that is this WordPad document has a purpose. And now, while on the subject of purpose, the internet's purpose is to connect people, and it has connected me to many things, including E. E. Knight, who wrote a wonderful vampire series.
No, not Twilight. Let's never mention Twilight. Moving on.
His series is about an army leader named David Valentine who starts off chipper in the military, and about an alien race who tries to conquer post apocoalpytic Earth by using creatures similar to vampires. No, not Twilight. Let's never mention Twilight. Moving on. I haven't read all Knight's books, but I heard an interview, looked at his livejournal ( eeknight.livejournal.com ) and perused an excerpt online. Me gusta mucho. I lurves it.
No, not Twilight. Let's never men--
Moving on.
I have also been trying to get my hands on the Broken Sky series. I saw it over the summer and have never been able to get it out of my head. It's like manga of the mecha sort, but in novel-form. No, not like the Naruto or FMA novelizations at the store. I abhor those. Well, abhor is a bit strong. Let's say I picked up a couple, browsed them, set them down and have since read better fanfiction.
But whatever. I'm not writing them, so I shouldn't criticize. I've browsed the Jumper: Griffin's Story (or something like that) book online, but I haven't picked that one up either. Could be interesting, though. I loved Jumper. And Iron Man, and Juno. Am I missing any?
I don't really remember if I liked the Dark Knight, but I'm pretty sure it was awesome. Pretty sure is not entirely, but it's close enough for my purposes.
Midterms next week. Yesssss.
