On The Jabez Prayer
Oh, that You would bless me indeed,
And enlarge my territory,
That Your hand would be with me,
And that You would keep me from evil,
That I may not cause pain.
--The Jabez Prayer, 1 Chonicles 4:9-10
I don't want to sound like a Bible thumper, but I do believe: Pray that prayer every day, and God will change your life for the better, that you may follow him and get others to do the same. I can't make you, but I'm doing it. And I read The Prayer of Jabez for Teens, so now I'm ready.
How: (TPJT pg. 96)
--Every morning, pray the Jabez prayer
--Mark off a calender every day to show how well you keep your promise
--Write out the Jabez Prayer and tape it somewhere you won't miss it
--Reread TPJT once every week for four weeks; ask God to show you the important stuff you might have missed
--Tell one other person about your 30-day plan. Ask him or her to check up on you. (I'm telling the internet)
--Keep a journal of your Jabez Adventures. Describe your Jabez Appointments. Write down what you're learning (Hello, blog.)
--Start praying the Jabez prayer for your family, friends, church, youth group and school
Maybe it sounds...iffy. But I read the book, and I believe, and I wanna make my life count for something super fantabulawesome. Join me? You don't have to do everything, just pray it.
Ah, excuse me, my white collar needs adjusting.
Now then. I installed the new update for my PSP and am loving the PSN store--downloaded the demos of Lego Batman, Secret Agent Clank, that one trading card thingee that bored me, and Wipeout Pulse. Loving it, loving it. Wish the Wipeout Pulse one was longer, because that was super mega fun.
I should possibly be writing. No, omit the possibly. But agh, it's the day before Thanksgiving, I just ate about five cookies, and now I want to relax...
Oh, that You would bless me indeed.
