On Northern Uganda
So. NaNo's not going quite as planned; ideally, I'd have 25k of Nicky Fibbs: Rift right now. But I don't. I have 18k of Rift and 2k of a short story I wrote yesterday and love and do not regret writing. So today, I'll try for another 2k. Of my NaNo, this time. For the win!
Today at an assembly I saw the new Invisible Children Movie called Go, and nearly cried. And it inspired me--it inspired a lot of students, I hope, but it inspired me to do something literary to raise money for the Invisible Children. As of now, I have a Plan. Yes, with a capital P. I'm still working out the kinks, but if it is successful I shall be ever so proud.
Rift is going fairly well, other than my short hiatus. I lost a little bit of inspiration, but I'm throwing myself back into it and shall die if I don't hit 20k tonight. That's a promise.
Well. No it's not.
WordCount: 18,160. But I broke 2k if you count yesterday's short fiction, hmm?
